There are a few pieces I like on this account still, I guess, but most of it BURNS MY EYEBALLS. Yet I keep getting asked if I have my work on the internet anywhere, and seeing as I don't have the time to re-learn CSS (or the money to pay for hosting)...

Voila!

I figured it was either "delete everything in this account and pretend it never happened" or just start fresh. And, as much as I hate my old stuff, it was still the best I could do with what I knew and it seems unfair to just bury it because of that. So start fresh I did!

Yay!

ohhh yeah I have a deviantart gallery, don't I?

I see people left a few comments! I am sorry I didn't reply, I've been busy falling off of the face of the internet. I haven't been active in this whole online art community stuff for a long while - been too busy with school and such things, after a while it slips your mind.

I have actually been producing artwork /that I'm happy with/, which comes as something of a shock. Who knows, maybe I'll get around to uploading it? Ahaha.

So, yes, HI I'M NOT ACTUALLY DEAD. =)

I haven't updated this thing in well over two years. Aha. I doubt it caused overmuch concern to anyone though.

Let's see, what has happened since I updated last... Ah. I graduated high school, and am now attending the University of North Texas for some kind of art degree, which at this point looks like Drawing and Painting (aaahahaha yeah, I'm planning on getting a useful degree in graduate school. Concept art or somesuch). I'm looking forward to my classes for next semester, which mostly comprise of figure drawing, watercolor, Russian, and some art history thing online. Squee. =)

I have tons and tons of classwork, some of which might even be worth uploading as far as craft goes, but it's really just a bunch of still lives. Occasionally there's a naked person, which I find far more interesting. Perhaps those are worth sharing.

I would certainly -like- to think my art's beginning to mature, and if not, it has at least diversified. Even if I still enjoy drawing animal-folk a great deal, I am at least now capable of drawing many other things without it looking like I tried to draw with my off-hand. I have to say, this makes me feel better as an artist.

Oh, and also, I have learned to love charcoal. A year ago I would be horrified to hear myself say this. Truly, I now know the truth of things. And the truth is... Tony Blair would not be afraid of charcoal. And neither am I, my friend.

Neither am I.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.

The Dallas Museum of Art hosts a "Young Masters" exhibit every year (I think), where AP students can submit slides of a piece they've done. My art teacher picked mine for me since they told her the day it was due (she picked the picture I drew of this photo - ruggy.lmfao.org.uk/dead.jpg  ). Since I made up some stuff on the right side (no way in hell I would be able to recreate all those strands with ebony in the time I had), and the area under the right hand was kind of "meh", I was pretty sure I wouldn't get in.

But I did.

Holy freaking CRAP. My picture is one of 36 selected out of 380-something.

This makes my freaking WEEK. :D :D :D :D :D
